One of the most intriguing filmmakers of our time is Terrence Malick. In a career spanning decades as a filmmaker, screenwriter and producer, Malick has directed only five feature films – oh, but what films! Some consider Malick’s films to be masterpieces (even the greatest films ever made).
Malick may seem like an enigma, as his meditative (sometimes oblique) approach to storytelling can be a challenge for some audiences, but there is no doubt that his films seek a greater understanding beyond the events in his films.
Malick’s latest film is scheduled for release this May and it’s been shrouded in secrecy for years. And while we’re not exactly sure about the film’s story, with a bold title like “The Tree of Life,” Malick seems to raising the bar on even his own body of visionary work.

Ah, I have no friggin’ idea what that film is gonna be about, but it sure looks good.
Looks deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep – love it!
It seems like Malick really loves those low angle shots.
Tree of Life? I wonder if this is another one of those films about the Kaballah like THE FOUNTAIN.
TREE OF LIFE just won the Palm d’Or in Cannes, judged the winner by a panel that included Robert DeNiro: http://www.moviehole.net/201141360-malicks-tree-of-life-wins-palme-dor-at-cannes
